Carnegie Hall, one of the world’s most hallowed stages for classical and popular music, has several spaces available for private events; its 10th-floor Weill Music Room offers skyline views and can comfortably seat up to 200 attendees. Just a few blocks away is the New York City Center, where the 2,257-seat theater and several smaller studios are available for private events. There’s also the three-story Ziegfeld Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,200 guests for receptions and almost 1,000 for seated events. The balcony meeting areas can be partitioned for smaller groups. A few blocks north of Carnegie Hall is the Museum of Arts & Design, which has a 143-seat theater and a seventh-floor event space with fantastic views of Central Park.

Around Rockefeller Center
The renowned art deco Rockefeller Center spans 22 acres between 48th and 51st Streets from Fifth to Sixth Avenues. The complex is home to numerous dining, entertainment and shopping options as well as a popular outdoor ice rink and seasonal holiday tree. Rockefeller Center has a variety of spaces available for private events, including the Rainbow Room, which can accommodate up to 400 for receptions. The majestic Radio City Music Hall has several grand spaces available for performances and receptions—plus smaller lounges and rehearsal spaces for groups of 100 or fewer.
Convene at 75 Rockefeller Plaza features more than 9,000 square feet of mixed-use meeting and event space. The historic 3 West Club has more than 7,000 square feet of meeting space, including a grand ballroom and a rooftop solarium. There's also Studio Gather by Tishman Speyer, a coworking center that has well-appointed space for groups on the 27th floor at 45 Rockefeller Plaza.

On the Hudson River
West of Times Square is Hell’s Kitchen—also referred to as Clinton—and the Hudson riverfront. The neighborhood encompasses unusual venues like the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, a former aircraft carrier that is now permanently docked at Pier 86 and has spaces available for private events. Another option for groups is Lucky Strike NYC, an upscale sports lounge with 11 billiard tables and 26 lanes of bowling. There are private rooms for groups and the entire lounge is available for buyouts. Just east of the Intrepid is Metropolitan West, which offers two sleek, minimalist event spaces with stunning river and skyline views, each with a separate entrance and lobby. A few blocks north is the concert venue Terminal 5, which has a number of spaces available for groups, including a roof-deck. Another great option in the neighborhood is Penthouse 45, with 2,500 square feet of indoor event space.
