Spicy Senegalese fried rice, Nigerian sirloin skewers and North African chicken shawarma are among the alluring treats at Berber Street Food, a cozy, colorful nook in the West Village. Diana Tandia, originally from Mauritania, has worked in fine dining for years, but her approach here is down-to-earth. Her Afro-fusion cuisine is healthy, hearty and ready to be dished out for people in a hurry. There are a few tables to squeeze into, but most devotees file in for takeout.
