As the name suggests, Book Culture is a store for the most serious and discerning readers, specializing in academic and artsy tomes. When its first location opened in 1997, it was known as Labyrinth Books, and today it has evolved into a rare gem advocating diversity and showcasing the kinds of course books you'd never find at your local book superstore. It now has three outlets across the City—two in Manhattan and one in Queens—offering a wide range of titles including children's books, new releases and academic works.
