Casa Carimañolas y Mas is an authentic Panamanian-Caribbean food truck with a very loyal following. Specializing in carimañolas (a traditional Caribbean food made of fried yuca dough stuffed with seasoned ground meat or cheese), the lines here can be quite long. People come for the fried yuca of course, but patrons rave about the bold flavors of all the dishes such as empanadas, anticuchos (marinated, skewered grilled meats) and salteados (stir-fries). They’re typically parked on the corner of Utica and Tilden Avenues on Saturdays and stay open until they sell out, but keep up with their Instagram feed for information on where else you may find the truck.
