Defonte's is the go-to deli for enormous Italian heroes built with fresh, quality ingredients and has enraptured Red Hook since 1922. Order from more than 20 hot or cold sandwiches (do like the regulars and add hot salad as a topping) and grab some chips—you probably won't even think about dinner. The staff is spirited and good at controlling the line at lunchtime.
