Here comes Dad, looking relieved to find a casual restaurant in which to relax and calm the kids with hamburgers and thick shakes while Mom keeps pawing through the racks. Solo shoppers and girlfriend-getaway types tuck their bags under the modern tabletops and chairs and dig into massive salads that spill over the bowl. Flip, as its name implies, is mostly a burger joint, with dozens of meat blend–and–sauce combos on organic rolls. Potato options also cover all the bases, with cones of chubby fries, skinny fries, steak fries or sweet potato fries. And the wine and beer selection is more diverse than you'd expect.
