Hammacher Schlemmer
Out of Business
Description
These world-famous innovators opened their first New York store before the Civil War and have resided in their current home since 1926. As early adopters of such technologies as the pop-up toaster, electric razor and microwave oven, Hammacher Schlemmer's proprietors know a great idea when they see it. So even if the robotic vacuum seems like a high-tech luxury today, don't be surprised to find it in every American home tomorrow.
