Description

This 235-acre park has many beautiful features, including Kissena Lake, which is surrounded by fields and playgrounds. In addition to baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, a golf course, handball courts and fishing, Kissena Park houses a velodrome for speed bicycling. Purchased by the City in 1904 from William T. Janes, the land includes a host of exotic plants and more than 100 kinds of trees, including Chinese toon, Asian katsura, rare bald cypress and cork.
