Description

Liberty State Park—1,122 open acres on the Jersey City waterfront and just a stone’s throw from Ellis and Liberty Islands—is home to the Liberty Science Center, a state-of-the-art educational attraction for all ages, and the Interpretive Center, whose exhibits focus on the natural history and ecology of the Hudson River estuary. It’s also the site of the historic Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal. There are trails for hiking and biking as well as space for recreational activities and picnicking. Year-round ferry service connects the park to Ellis and Liberty Islands. Visit the website njparksandforests.org for more information.
