Description
A white-tablecloth find near Grand Central Terminal, Osteria Laguna turns on the Northern Italian charm with soaring ceilings painted in Venetian yellow, sculpted iron chandeliers and rustic wooden chairs. Most dishes begin with tomato- and mozzarella-based recipes typical of trattorias, with an emphasis on traditional Venetian ingredients. Grilled fish, lamb, veal and beef are available, and home-style pasta dishes are made with semolina-flour pasta. Risotti come in daring combinations, and pizzas focus on fresh ingredients.
