Description

The Reformed Protestant Dutch Church in Port Richmond is Staten Island's oldest corporation. The congregation, formed in 1665, played a role in the American Revolution through Joshua Mersereau, a founding father of American intelligence, and helped create the modern business world through member Cornelius Vanderbilt. Take a guided tour of the 1696 cemetery, 1844 Greek Revival church and 1898 Victorian annex, designed by a close associate of Harry Houdini.
