Description
While most rooftop bars capitalize on surrounding skyline views, this one also invites you to check out what’s below your feet. Other than providing an up-close view of the Empire State Building, this Nomad bar has a glass-bottom section that looks down on 31st Street from 31 floors above. Seek out the cocktail menu if you need some liquid encouragement to cross the glass. Drinks here are named after various “Heights” of NYC, like the Dyker Heights, a seasonal boozy slush, or the Jackson Heights, a rosemary and basil play on a Bee’s Knees cocktail. Former Top Chef contestant Dale Talde has stocked the menu with an affordable selection of pizzas, plus lighter bites like chips, guacamole and ceviche.
