CELEBRATE THE WORLD CUP ACROSS ALL FIVE BOROUGHS WITH FREE COMMUNITY EVENTS

New York City (June 15, 2026) — As New York City welcomes the FIFA World Cup 2026™, New York City Tourism + Conventions and the five Borough Presidents announced a series of free, community-focused events taking place in all five boroughs throughout the tournament. Supported by NYC Tourism grants made possible through funding allocated by Mayor Mamdani, these events will bring the excitement of the World Cup to neighborhoods across the City. With eight matches including the Final set for New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium), New Yorkers and visitors alike are invited to join the global celebration at free events across the City’s parks, beaches, museums, markets, theaters and public spaces.

“We are grateful to the Mamdani Administration for their $4.5 million investment supporting World Cup activations across the boroughs, including grants that enabled each Borough Presidents’ office to offer free events in their communities,” said Julie Coker, President and CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions. “These events will help ensure the excitement and economic impact of the World Cup—driven largely by the 1.2 million visitors the tournament is projected to attract—are felt throughout every borough and neighborhood, making this once-in-a-generation moment accessible to all New Yorkers and visitors.”

The City’s five borough presidents—Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, and Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella—will host events listed below in their boroughs.

Pride-Themed World Cup Kickoff Event at The Hub

In partnership with the Third Avenue BID and Destination Tomorrow (The Bronx LGBTQIA+ Center), this Pride-themed food & arts festival launched the series, welcoming visitors to an inclusive, borough-wide celebration.

Summer Concert Series Kickoff at Orchard Beach

Orchard Beach | July 12 | 1pm

Part of the borough’s popular beach summer series each Sunday, the kickoff will include music, food, and local vendors, reflecting the diversity of Bronx communities.

Brooklyn Mundial (Greenpoint) at The Post BK

An immersive indoor soccer experience featuring live match screenings of Panama vs. Ghana and Colombia vs. Uzbekistan, jerseys, netted goals, culturally relevant performances representing the countries playing that evening, halftime entertainment, and light food and drinks. Performances by Los Rakas, Flama, DJ Mista Sinesta, Maraca Bruja and more.

Brooklyn Mundial: Coney Island | USA vs. Australia at Maimonides Park

Held on Juneteenth in partnership with the Brooklyn Cyclones, this fan fest will feature a live screening of the USA vs. Australia match and a youth soccer clinic with Brooklyn FC.

Brooklyn Mundial (Bushwick) at El Santo

An indoor/outdoor experience featuring a live match screening of Brazil vs. Haiti, a virtual goalie booth, culturally relevant performances, halftime entertainment, and light food and drinks. Performances by Eli Heffi, DJ De La Cieba, Kaila Bule with a Haitian drumming group, and more.

Brooklyn Mundial (Cypress Hills) at Mr. Fire Bar & Grill
