The New York Philharmonic plays a leading cultural role in New York City, the United States and the world. Each season the orchestra connects with up to 50 million music lovers through live concerts here in NYC and around the world; international broadcasts on television, radio and online; Decca Gold albums and digital recordings; and education programs. This season, music director Jaap van Zweden conducts a wide-ranging repertoire, including world premieres and symphonic cornerstones.
